Rock pigeon and dove shooting in South Africa is deemed to be some of the most challenging game bird shooting on offer, it incorporates every shot situation from fast incoming birds to scorching high targets.

 

We work with a number of guides in varying locations around South Africa, from near Johannesburg to Bloemfonteain. The shooting usually takes place over sunflowers and maize fields on flight lines and each estate offers their own unique experience.

 

Rock pigeons and doves are considered local pests and can be shot all year round, however, February to April is thought to be the peak season.
